I can't figure out how to set thedefault line spacing for ll new documents in
Word 2007. Currently, when I open up a new doculent, the line spacing is
automatically set to 10 pt, so to correct it, I click on "Page Layout" tab,
and then decrease the number in the "After" (lower) box to zero. Is there a
way to make this the default seting?

what works in all versions: locate the template for these documents (in
Word 2007, that would probably be Normal.dotm) and change the styles there.

For many things, you can also set the "default" directly in the dialog.
In Word 2007, if you change the spacing in the Paragraph dialog (click
on the little arrow on the bottom right side of Start | Paragraph), set
the desired values, and click on "Default."
