How do I set up a background for a cell in a calendar?

Is it possible to set up a backround for a cell in a calender? I woul like to
insert pictures into cells of a calender and set them up as backgrounds. I'm
using "2006 photo calendar with graphics (Mon-Sun, 12-pp)" from MS Office
templates.
