Derek Dench

I want to create a report in Project that gives a bar chart as a summary to
the condition of Projects and then when I click on a bar it drills down to
give me more detailed results - any ideas please?

Hi Derek

if you use summary tasks in the gantt chart (use the indent icon & then the
show icon) you can "drill down" to the subtasks by expanding the summary
task lists using the + on the toolbar. will this serve your purpose?

Hi Derek,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Strictly a report is a print out of your data on paper. If you mean a view,
then use the + and - to the left of the summary task name to open or
collapse the details. For a Project summary, set it up via
Tools/Options.../View tab, bottom right.

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: <http://www.mvps.org/project/>

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :))
