I want to place start date (01/01/2006) then start time (8:00 AM), duration
in minutes (3 mins how long the task should take), finish date (01/01/2006),
then finish time (8:30 AM). All of this should be connected and cascade
throughout the whole plan....I change one duration this should cascade
through to chnage the times and dates.......NEED HELP!

Hi Keith,

Welcome to this Microsoft Project newsgroup :)

Firstly, except for the Project Start date/time, never enter start or finish
dates. Project is designed to take the Durations and the Precedence links
you've entered to calculate the dates for you - let Project do its job :)

As for times, you can enter minutes in the Duration field (eg 3m). To see
times of the day, try Tools/Options.../View tab and in the Date Format pick
list, select a format that has times. You could also set, from the Schedule
tab, Duration is entered in: minutes, and set that as default if you wish.
(Whilst you are there, make sure the Autolink selection is turned off.)

FAQs, companion products and other useful Project information can be seen at
this web address: http://project.mvps.org/faqs.htm

Hope this helps - please let us know how you get on :)
