How do I set up a reoccurring appointment for someone with a MAC?

I have a PC and my boss uses a MAC. I can set up a one-time occurrence
appointment. When I try to set up a reoccurring appointment, I can put the
information in, set up the reoccurring date, but when I try to save and close
I get a message saying "Out of memory or system resources, Close other
applications....". I only have Outlook open at the time I am trying to set
this up.
