How do i set up a searchable database using access

I am looking to set up a database with the name of a resource and where you
can find it within our office. I would like this to be searchable by users of
the office i.e you put in the name of the resource and it would display the
location. I have never used access before and don't really know where to
start.

If that is all you need, you may be better off going with a two-column Excel
spreadsheet, sorted by resource name.
