How do I set up a video to play after I click on the hyperlink?

I'm creating a homepage and have loaded a video and some pictures to it.
While in publisher, using the control key and then clicking on the hyperlink
both the pictures display as thumbnails and the video runs in media player.
However when I do the "Web page preview", the photo's wont display and the
video doesn't run. What am I doing wrong?
