there are whole books, even series of books, written on how to build a
database. nobody can answer such a broad question with specific
instructions, in these newsgroups - their purpose is to give specific
answers to specific questions.
however, a broad answer would be: *read* books, whitepapers, etc on data
modeling and database design, *study* examples, demo databases etc,
*practice* the rules and guidelines you learn, and *ask* specific questions
when you need help. (rule of thumb: put your questions in the text of
