How do I set up computer to send deleted items to Recycle bin

When deleting items or folders my computer currently deletes them
permanently.I would like them to go to the recyle bin first. How do i set
this up?

Right-click on the Recycle Bin icon on the Windows desktop, then click on the
Global tab or one of the drive letter tabs... if the box for "Do not move
files to the recycle bin" is checked, uncheck it.
