how do i set up microsoft outlook2003

please help

when i set up my e-mail it says it can not connect to the internet i am using
dsl also it says it can not find my e-mail add i am using earthlink.net
what for should i use for it (http pop3 )or other it does so happen to
work for outlook express please help
