How do I set up my bellsouth.net account in Outlook 2003

My inlaws recently purchased an e-machine and with it microsoft office 2003.
My mother-in-law has a bellsouth.net account and prefers to use outlook for
her e-mail as she did with her '98 dinosaur. We tried to set it up for her
and it was no good. I need step by step instructions so that she can do this
herself. If you can assist it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
advance,
