how do I set up page borders so I can see the bottom line as well

The bottom line of my page borderis not printing so I tried "Troubleshoot
Borders, shading, and graphic effects" but is is not working. If I adjust
the bottom line only they all move in, cramping the document. I just want to
adjust the bottom line so that it prints.

Hi Suzanne,

Thanks for the info. The bottom margin is set at 2.54cm. I only have one
printer, a HPpsc 1310.When I went into Page Borders and unchecked "surround
footer" the side border lines moved in 3cm and the top and bottom border
lines moved in 2cm and would not move back if I checked "surround Footer". I
then changed all the margin settings to zero in Page Setup and Word offered
to fix them up and I clicked Yes but the entire border disappeared.

I am going to try my luck with the HP printer manual but in the meantime, I
have manually drawn a line at the bottom of the page with the drawing tool.
It is not a perfect fit but at least it is a line.

I wonder if the footer is causing me all this trouble?

This problem would just fade away if the Page Border measurement from the
edge of the page could go just a bit higher than 31pt. Why is is limited to
31pt?

As pointed out in the referenced article, you have to set it from text (that
is, from the margins) instead of from the edge of the page.
