How do I set-up printing for a 42" roll?

Using Publisher 2000, Windows XP. I'm having trouble printing a full image
on an HP Designjet 5000PS 42". The image is 41.5" wide x 60" long, and I'm
feeding from a roll. But, after 45" of printing it cuts the image off and
wants to continue on a second page. I've tried several different print
set-ups (roll feed, sheet feed, ARCH E with a custom size, etc.), scaling, no
scaling, but it does it every time. ANy suggestions?

Mac -Thanks for the suggestion - but I don't know how to
resize it in the HP rip/driver. I understand the concept
of what you're suggesting, and can print it to a file at a
reduced size, but then what? Could you elaborate a little?

Mary -
I appreciate your response, but it's a bit vague. Can you
tell me, specifically, if there is an artificial (non-
printer dependent) maximum continuous printable dimension
in Publisher 2000?
