how do I show a public contacts folder in the navigation bar of O.

Simon Pennell

Until recently, when I added a public "contacts" folder to my favorites in
Outlook 2007, it appeared in the navigation pane. When this public contacts
folder was selected, clicking on "contacts" defaulted to the selected public
contacts folder. Now the public folder no longer appears in the navigation
pane... I presume this is due to some king of update. Any advise would be
appreciated.
Thanks.

The PF contacts folder appears in the list when I navigate to my Folder List
in Outlook. Previously, when I right-clicked the PF contacts folder and
clicked "Add to Favorites", then when I navigated to my normal Contacts
folder, the PF Contacts Folder appeared under "Other Contacts". Now it no
longer appears. (There is a new group called EPAS?)
Under the old system, if I selected the PF Contacts folder from "Other
Contacts", then clicking on Contacts would return me to the PF Contacts
folder, rather than my personal Contacts folder, which was very convenient.
(Our PF Contacts folder is a central list of contacts used by everyone in our
company.

It should appear as long as it PF favorites. Try removing it from PF
favorites and adding it back - otherwise you'll need to open outlook with
the /resetnavpane switch and that will remove all the shortcuts you added.

Hi Diane,
I had not thought of that. I removed it from my favorites and re-added it,
and that solved the problem: the PF Contacts folder then re-appeared in my
main navigation pane under "other Contacts". You are the greatest. Thanks a
million!
