how do I show/hide detail shapes within a diagram in Visio

How do I show/hide detail shapes within a block diagram in order to get
detail level or high level diagrams.

I can only find the layer mechanism, but how do I make sure that connection
points of the detail shapes are in sync with those of the high level shape.

Hi Han,

Are you talking about specific Visio shapes that have a Detail feature? Or
your own show/hide details feature?

You could use hyperlinking to make separate details pages that a simple box
on an overview page could link to.
