How do I show the database window in a project?

A long time ago I created a database and somehow got it to hide the database
window(DW), but I've forgotten how I did it. In this database (and only this
database) I cannot access the DW by clicking on its icon on the taskbar, nor
can I get to it by pressing F11. The only way to see the DW is to close my
start-up form. For this database my Startup Option have all the check boxes
checked, including "Use Special Access Keys" and "Display Database Window."
How can I undo what I did in creating this DB?

The only way to see the DW is to close my
start-up form.

The code executed by your start up form (or AutoExec macro) is hiding the
Database Window. You can change the code, or you can select the Window ->
Unhide... menu to open the "<Database Name>: Project (Access <version>
format)" item and select the "OK" button to open the Database Window. If
this doesn't display the Database Window in a visible area of the screen,
then select the Window -> Cascade menu item to cascade all visible windows on
the screen. The Database Window should be one of them.

Thank you for responding. You put me on the track of solving the problem, but
the solution comes from a different angle - I thought I'd pass on. I checked
my property settings on my StartUp form and I see that I had turned Modal to
Yes. The program always left the StartUp form open and that's what had been
locking me out of the database window.

Thanks for the explanation. I interpreted your "cannot access the DW by
clicking on its icon on the taskbar" to mean that selecting the icon did
nothing, instead of the icon being disabled whenever the startup form was
open. I should have asked for clarification, but now I have more
clues/tools in my toolbox for the next time someone has a similar
description of the missing Database Window problem.
