How do I show the MS Office 2000 toolbar in WinXP?

Hello

I have (finally) migrated from Win 98 to Win XP but am continuing to use
Office 2000.

The annoying thing is that I don't seem to be able to display the MS Office
toolbar that I used to have when running Win98 - and I miss it!

Any help would be very appreciated.

Did you install the optional Office Shortcut Bar feature when you
installed Office 2000? Did you put a shortcut to the OSA9.EXE
file in the Windows startup folder? See
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=203078 "Office Shortcut Bar
(OSB) setup, startup, and exit behavior is different from earlier
versions of Office" for more information.

I use the Desktop bar to display my icons across the monitor top. Recently I
started receiving an error window that tells me a component of the OSB is not
functioning correctly and within seconds the OSB display disappears. It can
be replaced immediately by clicking on the Toolbar in Programs. The error
window appears without any apparent regard to a specific action other than
such things as the pointer touching the OSB display on the monitor.
Have uninstalled and reinstalled more than once without eliminating the
problem. Am afraid one day it will cease to function.
I use Win XP SP3 and the Classic display (don't care for all the junk that's
been added in recent years).
Any suggestions, anyone? Thanks
