How do I speed up rules in Outlook 2000

I have been running Outlook2000 in win 2k with no probs. I have recently
upgraded to winWP Pro and now I find that email handling in Outlook 2k is
very slow. I have numerous rules set up for incoming mail but there is a long
delay between mail coming in and being sorted. (this was not the case when I
was on win2K.) Also I have noticed that it takes much longer for me to
recieve emails than my colleagues who are still on win2k. Is there any way to
speed outlook up?

Tried disabling the e-mail scanning in your anti-virus program yet? Got
anything else sitting in the way of e-mail traffic, like anti-spam
programs, firewalls, anti-malware scanners, etc.?

No I've got nothing else running (that I know of) My Email comes from an
exchange server which handles all the antivirus scanning. I do have Windows
Firewall on so I'll switch that off & see what happens....

I'll let you know how I get on.
