How do I standardize Outlook fonts

Hello,

I want to force standard fonts for all Outlook clients in my Domain.
I did the suggestion from Sue Mosher, to config one client like i want
him to be an export the registry key.
(HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\MailSettings).
That worked fine.
But there is still the problem, that the "automatically display Rich
Text in draft font when using high contrast" setting ist not changed.
The other settings like composing fonts and so on, are perfect.
Is there one more regsitry key, which effects that "display Rich Text
in draft...." setting. Because there could be some users who have
unchecked this option. And the import oft the Registry Key should set
my standard fonts by booting the Computer every day.

The registry value you're looking for is:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Options\Mail]

"AutoDraftInHighContrast"=dword:00000000


Such things are pretty easy to track down if you export the likely section of the registry before and after the change in the UI, and then use any text comparison tool, even Word, to locate the changes.

BTW, I've never seen much change with that setting on or off. I'd be interested to know what it does for your machine.

I would like to thank for your fast help. To tell the truth, I´m not
sure what this setting will change. But I´ve to be certain, that the
settings will be the same like the default settings from outlook, when
it´s configured (Exchange) the first time on a client PC.
And this Rich Text... setting is the default. At least in our
environment. Now I´ve got two registry keys which are imported at
booting the computers and in my test, it worked fine!

Yesterday, I found a freeware tool called regmonNT from sysinternals.
It´s worth a try. )
