How do I start a manual install when the program is already instal

I am trying to check my Office 2000 version to see if something is on the CD
that was not loaded during the original installation.

Specifically I am trying to add a proofing tool that I am told is on the
CDs. I already have the programs installed and working so I prefer not to
mess with them. What I would like to do is a manual or custom install just
to see if that feature is on the CDs and if so add it.

Is that possible?

Go into the Control Panel - Add/Remove Programs. "Repair" Office. It should
let you select what to install.

Usually you can run setup and then choose to add, repair, or remove
components, so you shouldn't have any trouble.

For more details, post back with what Office 2000 version, what operating
system, and what proofing tool you're trying to install, and someone might
be able to provide more detailed information.
