How do I start Task Scheduler Service in Windows XP?

Mary Ellen

I'm trying to schedule tasks on my home computer. I have all the tasks set
up. I keep getting a message that "some taasks didn't execute at scheduled
times because the Task Scheduler Service wasn't running". I have everything
set up in the Scheduled Tasks folder. I've done to the Properties tab and
checked "wake computer" for each of the tasks and still they won't run. When
you go to the status tab on the view menu it says "missed" by each task.
Where does one find this "Task Scheduler Service" and how do you turn it on?
Thanks if you can help me. I realize this isn't specifically an Office
question, but thought someone might read and be able to assist.

Not a Microsoft Office issue - try reposting to a group for Windows XP -
microosoft.public.windowsxp.general is a good place to start.
