Project Server 2007
Two questions.
How do I officially finish or close a project in PWA or Project Pro 2007?
How do I gett he Project to stop showing up in Project Center of PWA 2007?

Project Server 2007 has no default method for archiving and hiding completed
projects. As a result, you have two choices, both of which are workarounds:

1. Ask your Project Server administrator to back up all enterprise projects
using the Administrative Backup feature on the Server Settings page in PWA,
and then delete any completed projects. They will disappear from both PWA
and from Project Professional 2007, and all tasks will disappear from each
resource's My Tasks page. The data will no longer be reportable in Data
Analysis Views, however.

2. The alternative is to use a methdology similar to the one referenced in
the following FAQ. Even though the FAQ states that the solution is for
Project Server 2003, it will work in 2007 as well. Using this methodology
for "archiving" your projects, you can hide the completed projects, but the
data will still be reportable in Data Analysis views.

Hope this helps.

Thanks Dale,

Are there other methods you know about? Can you put a custom field in for
status? I am not sure how you would filter this out of Project Center.

I'm not aware of other methods. That's why I proposed the two known
methods. Yes, I suppose you could use a custom field, but isn't that part
of the methdology presented in #2 below? Hope this helps.
