How do I stop a recurrence reminder that cannot be located?

I have a calendar reminder that I cannot dismiss.
Does anyone know how to delete this?

Close Outlook, then Start, Run, Outlook.exe /cleanreminders

notice the space after .exe

Unfortunately this did not eliminate the problem.
Any other suggestions?

Can you find the Appointment? And clear the reminder there?

You have to switch to a table view (all appointments or by category) and
find the offending appointment and delete it.
