How do I "stop" a recurrence without losing past exceptions?

I have recurring events w no stop dates. I want to insert a specific stop
date in the future without losing past exceptions. Can I do that? Thanks.

Thanks Diana. It does warn about losing exceptions so this may be the only
way, if a bit cumbersome. Jon
