How do I stop Auto-Capitalization

D

Dave

Hi,

I'm using Word 2000 and when ever I type a paragraph, Word automatically
makes every word on the left margin begin with a capital letter.
How can I turn this feature off?

Thanks bunch,
Dave

Hi Dave

You need to do two things.

First, Tools > Auto Correct Options. Click on the Autocorrect tab. Un-tick capitalize first letter of sentence.

Second, if Word is capitalizing the first word on every line, then it sounds like you're pressing Enter at the end of every line.
You don't need to do this. You can just keep typing and Word will wrap your text within the margins. There's more information about
this at

Hope this helps.
