how do i stop auto highliting during email writing???

When typing a new email in outlook the sentence/word/paragraph is
automatically highlited for some unknown reason. I can't stop it or disable
it. It's like I'm trying to copy the text to save it...
Any help would be appreciated. It's driving me NUTS!!!

Stop using Word as the e-mail editor. Or learn to configure Word.
