In Word 2003, I use double dashes that are converted into a long dash, which
is fine.
However, at some point the document converts these into strike-throughs, in
which the long dash strikes through the last letter of the word before the
dash and strikes through the first letter of the word following the dash,
with a single space of dash between the words.
This will occur for no apparent reason in a checklist that is modified
daily, and does it to all the double dashes that previously were fine.
Once it happens in a document it will do it (convert to strike-throughs) as
I type in that document from that point forward.
How do I correct this or disable this feature?
