Hi guys,

I've decided to go back to Apple Mail for my email software (for fewer syncing issues with my iPhone).

However, I'd still like access to the emails I have in Entourage. So what I'd like to is to stop Entourage receiving any further emails, without deleting the account entirely.

Can anyone help me to do this?

thanks in advance
Ali

You can deactivate or delete all the Schedules (Tools menu), you can
also choose Work Offline from the Entourage menu.

Awesome - worked a treat.

Thank you!

I should add that it seems silly to launch Entourage just to access old
emails. You should export the emails from Entourage and import them
into Mail.

Probably wise, but I only view my work messages through Mail. I use Entourage for Hotmail .... it was a disaster running Hotmail through Mail the first time round so I gave up after months of glitches and crashes. It seems to work moderately(!) well with Entourage.

Thanks anyway though.

If you only use Entourage for Hotmail: Hotmail has recently been modified,
so you can now access your Hotmail account through POP as well (as opposed
to HTML only). This means that any e-mail application that supports POP
accounts (most, if not all of them) can now access Hotmail accounts, whereas
HTML access was only officially supported through Microsoft e-mail
applications. The instructions on this page are for Entourage, but they
should be the same for Mail:
