How do I stop file conversion dialog box?

When I try to access Microsoft Outlook and Word 2003 I keep getting the
following errors:
Fikle conversionn--~$neReader 8.2003 Selct coding that makes your document
readable Microsoft office Word: The add-in template is not valid
(C:\...\startup\~$ne-reader 8.2003.dot)
How do I repair this?

You have deleted the FineReader 8.2003.dot add-in from Word's Startup folder
but left the "owner" file, which Word is trying to open as an add-in. Delete
this temp file from the Startup folder, and you will not get the message.

With Word closed, in Windows Explorer, navigate to the Word Startup folder
(find the path on the File Locations tab of Tools | Options), select the
file, and delete it.
