How do I stop "invalid certificate" message on e mail

Perplexed

I have a Live Hotmail account which is also in Outlook. Every time I try to
send an e mail via Outlook I get an error message sying "invalid
certificate". Could someone please help as I would like to use both Live and
Outlook.

I have never signed a certificate to be invalid and I don't wish to have one!

You didn't mention what version of Outlook you are using, but I would check
to see if the options are on to use S/MIME.
