How do I stop it from prompting to delete blocks of text?

I need help! I need to know how to stop Word (2003) from asking me every
time I want to delete blocks of text from my document? I just want it to
delete the text when I highlight it and push the delete key. Can anyone help
me?

Tools | Options | General: Clear the check boxes for both items that refer
to WordPerfect.
