How do I stop multiple copies of the same email being downloaded?

All of a sudden, multiple copies of the exact same email are being downloaded
to Outlook from my Yahoo account. When I access my Yahoo account at
mail.yahoo.com only one copy exists. I am using Outlook 2002...Is there a
setting I need to change to prevent this? Thanks..
