How do I stop my notes from being read-only?

How do I stop my notes from being read-only? I transfered my notes from one
computer to another a while back and ever since then I can't alter those
notes. When I create new notes then close the program, I go to reopen them
and they are read only. How do I correct this?

If you transferred your notes by a read-only media such as a CD or DVD,
it is likely that Windows registered all the files as read-only on the
new computer. To fix this, right-click the parent directory for your
notebook in Windows Explorer, select properties, then deselect
Read-only. Pressing OK will prompt if you wish to also set all sub-files
and folders. Answer yes and Windows will reset the Read-only attribute.

Hope that helps!

I actually cut and paste the folder from my laptop onto a location on the
work network. After I installed OneNote on my new computer, I switched the
read directory of the program to match the location of the folder. Should I
change a setting to fix this?
