How do I stop my slide show shutting down midshow

The slide show is stopping automatically and returning me to the main screen
in the middle of a presentation. It is an issue that has only just arisen.
How do I stop this?

First check that in Slide Show > Set Up Show you have selected Show ALL slides.
Next thing to look for would be a virus checker, email or other program
taking the focus and closing PowerPoint.
