When I import pictures into Word 2003, they don't appear exactly as I would
expect them to.
I set the page view to 100%, and format the pictures so they are 100%.
However, they are always displayed much larger than the original picture,
and are fuzzy. To try to determine what was going on, I created a bitmap
with a grid of single pixels set. When displayed in Word, they come out as
fuzzy blobs rather than pixels.
I tried the same using a grid of small crosses made up of 5 pixels in this
format:
X
XXX
X
Again, they look more like fuzzy blobs in Word.
The pictures are pure Windows bitmaps. Not compressed in any way.
When printed, the images seem to come out ok, but it's a little unnerving
when the displayed image is fuzzy.
So much for WYSIWYG!
Is there a setting that stops this from happening?
expect them to.
