how do i stop standard emails being sent as attachments ?

For some reason, my emails now are being received as attachements. I have no
idea what I may have done to have caused this but does anyone have any ideas
as to how i can stop this from occuring ?

We are supposed to guess what is the filetype of those attachments in
your received e-mails?

Don't use RTF (Rich-Text Format) for composing your e-mails. Using
plain-text or HTML format.
