How do I stop stationery from tiling

Hi
When I construct stationery for outlook email the design tiles even if it is
saved from an Outlook Express email where I have 'expressley' configured it
to not tile. Outlook Express does not tile the same design. It's driving me
crazy, can anyone help please?
