How do I stop the first letter of each new line being upper case

Sounds like every line ends in a hard return, which makes every
line a different paragraph. Word always thinks the first word of
a paragraph is the first word of a sentence, which should be
capitalized. Did you copy and paste the text from the internet?
If yes, then see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Formatting/CleanWebText.htm . To turn
off this feature in Word, click on Tools | AutoCorrect Options |
AutoCorrect tab | uncheck the "Capitalize first letter of
sentences" box | OK.

Stop pressing the Enter key at the end of each line. Just keep typing and
let Word wrap your text. If it isn't wrapping where you want, change the
margins or paragraph indents.
