how do i stop the grave accent key from bringing up auto text?

Somehow my grave accent key (`) brings up this:
` This is a test 08:30:54 Real time

and I don't know how to get rid of it! It started when I was trying to
autoformat the upper case of that key (~) to be a degree symbol.
