How do I stop the same email coming each time Outlook 2003 opens?

I need to leave a copy of my emails on the server for 5 days so that they can
be collected on multiple computers. On my PC at home I have just upgraded
from Outlook 2000 to Outlook 2003 and now everytime I open Outlook I get the
new emails as well as the emails that I have already received. Before the
upgrade I only received each email once, no matter how many times I opened
Outlook. How do I stop this from happening?
