how do I stop undeliveryable messages from coming back to me over.

When sending e-mails to individuals with attachments, they come back with a
message failed delivery. However my system keeps trying to send that e-mail,
and it comes back to me in my inbox, (where it has been trying to download
the pictures in the attachment I sent), with over 20 undeliverable messages.
Since I'm using dial-up, it ties up by incoming messages for sometimes eight
hours. How can I stop my system continually trying to deliver eight
undeliverable message? There must be some way of saying the system up where
it only tries to deliver once or twice then stops. Does anyone have the
answer to this problem. HELP!!

Sometimes, File, Work Offline, Delete works. Worth a try. You should edit
pictures before sending to resize them to a much smaller size for email.
