How do I stop Word 2007 from grammar/spell checking entire documen

Hi BD,

Do you want to do this for a single document or all future documents?

You can turn off the Word options to spell/grammar check as you type
Office Button=>Word Options=>Proofing
so that you would use the F7 key to manually proof, or you can mark the content of selected text or all text (Ctrl+A) from
Review Tab=>Proofing=>Set Language=>[x] Do not check...

I write free-lance and am working on a few novels. Everytime I open my word
doc. and "F7"check Word runs back through the beginning, which I have already
cleaned up. In a novel, I don't have the time to go back and scour through
pages 1-80 and would prefer to just check the current section without having
to highlight it and specifically request the check. It is just a matter of
expediency and convenience (or maybe laziness too). Is there a way to set
Word to just check what hasn't been checked (aside from highlighting the
current material)? My "older" word would just check the new material.

thanks for your help.
