How do I stop Word crashing when I use the word 'contact'

Every time I use the work 'contact' following another word it sends an error
report and I loose my document.

One idea might be to check the AutoCorrect list to see if there is an entry
for "contact" that might be trying to insert something that (for want of a
better term) doesn't work.
