how do I stop Word from shutting down my computer?

Word 2003 opens and after a few seconds, completely shuts down my computer.
I use an Ibm, computer with P3 chip, and 500+ megs of ram, and 1.2 Ghz
processor. I run a XP professional as my OPS. I have loaded the full Office
2003 suite. Other office programs seems to work find. but Word has begun
Shutting down my computer, No error message, screen goes blank, after Word
has been up 1 or 2 minutes. What's going ON!!!!
