How do I store data with a PPTX file?

Hi;

We need to store data inside a PPTX file. For Word we use the
DataSomething property in the COM API that provides storage with the
document. For XLSX we create a hidden WorkSheet and put it there.

What's the best way to do this with PPTX?

You may consider storing custom data in Tags of PowerPoint presentations.
