How do I suppress the display of page headers

All,

I do not use the page header feature, and as a result, every time I
create a new section, I have to manually hide the page header via View
--> Page Header.

Is there a way to set my preferences so the page header is hidden by
default?

Not that I know of; but the setting is retained for all new and current
pages once you set it for a section.
