How do I suppress the page border whenprinting in Powerpoint 2008?

Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I want to not print the page borders (particularly the shaded right and bottom borders) when printing from PowerPoint 2008, but I don't see an option to suppress this. FWIW, it makes saving presentations to PDF *much* larger than the same presentation saved from earlier versions.

In the File - Print options, you should see a checkbox, "Frame Slides". Make sure that this one is unchecked.

Also, go to View - Master - Slide Master, select all objects using Command+A and see if there is a hidden border or slide shadow that is being used somewhere on the template. If it is, deselect everything and delete the offending shape or border.

Beyond this, I'm not sure what is causing the problem, but these are the two most likely places in PowerPoint you might want to check first.

Hope this helps.

Nope, neither was the issue. On further investigation, the half-border is getting imported in my old template, but it is not selectable or removable. This is incredibly frustrating, given that the border did not appear in earlier versions of PowerPoint, either on the Mac or the PC.
