How do I switch the MS Office Menu Items from German into English?

Lion and MS Office 2011 are great. One problem: MS Office was
purchased in Germany. During installation, I insisted that I want
everything in English, but all Menu Items are still in German, like so
"Datei Bearbeiten Ansicht" instead of "File Edit View ..." what I
would have wanted.

Poor joke

When I bought Office 2011 from Amazon, I installed it and it didn't ask
what language I wanted to use on my 10.6.8 system. I guessing that if
your installed language on your system is English, that the language
that the menus will show up in. If you installed 10.7 and told it
"German" was your default language, then that's language in which your
menus will appear.

In 10.6.8, there's a System Preference for Language and Text. The first
pane is "Language" which shows preferred languages in order. Try
switching to English. If that fixes it, then Word won't do what you
want and you'll have to contact Microsoft and complain. It's taking the
system language from the OS rather than a settable preference which it
currently can't do.

Of course, if you 'got Office' from a torrent, then you're getting what
you paid for.
