How do I take an image clipping out of OneNote and paste it into .

I used OneNote to collect images from web pages as I surfed. Now I want to
take some or all of them out and edit them in a graphics application. Logic
told me to highlight the image, right click 'coipy' and then 'paste' into the
destination application but 'Paste' is never available - suggesting that
copy/cut and paste in OneNote is only for internal use. That can't be right
so I am obviously missing something... but what?

You should be able to copy the image if you first make sure that they
are not background images. Right click the image and make sure
'background image' is unchecked.
