How do I tell Visio 2003 SP1 to save my workspace settings?

When I open a new file the help task pane and the reviewing toolbar are
displayed. I turn them off but they come back again every time I open a new
file. How can I get rid of them permanently to save screen space?

To turn off the template help task pane go to Tools > Options > General >
Service Options > Online Content > Show Template Help.

To get the reviewing toolbar to stop coming back, make sure that both
Show/Hide Markup and Track Markup are not selected in the toolbar.

Thanks, my task pane is gone now! However, I have a "drawing" toolbar that
persistantly comes back...even after I delete it in the customization window.
I also keep clicking "show standard and formating toolbars on 2 lines" but
it keeps going back to 1 line. Any thoughts of how to help Visio remember my
settings?

If you are customizing your toolbars, then Adobe Acrobat may be resetting
them. Try upgrading or temporarily uninstalling Acrobat to see if this
helps.

The Drawing toolbar is controlled by a button on the Standard toolbar near
the zoom controls.

I can't uninstall Adobe, because I don't have admin rights. We have
"computer help" employees to work on that sort of thing...but it is a painful
process.

The drawing toolbar that keeps coming back, is different from the drawing
toolbar you're talking about. I have deleted this paticular drawing toolbar,
from the customization window, and it keeps coming back.

I fixed the Adobe toolbar problems in Word, by "save all" to the doc1
template. Is there any process similar in Visio?

Is there any kind of edit to the registry, that would permanently fix the
toolbars? (I realize of course, I'd need someone with admin rights to edit
the registry)

Thank you for all your help!

It sounds like the toolbar issues are not related to Visio's built-in
toolbars, so it is pretty difficult to suggest remedies.
